About
Why Rat Park?
The name comes from a study by Alexander, B K et al published in 1981 that investigated the effects of community and isolation on drug consumption in rats. The study showed that rats housed in "rat parks" where they were a part of a colony, and not in isolation, consumed drug solutions at much lower rates and never overdosed.

For me Rat Park has become a shorthand for the necessity of community.

This company was started with the intention to build a rat park for myself. A fulfilling creative playground and a celebration of community.

Mission
I believe in curation, the art of being intentional about who and what I choose to have in my own rat park.

Rat Park's aim is to create products with intention behind them. Combining practicality and a love of beautiful things to give customers products that serve and delight in equal parts.
